JOB TITLE: Kwik Stop General Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a General Manager for Kwik Stop, you will be a key member of our retail team. Work hours may vary at times due to business necessity. Minimal travel may be required for activities such as but not limited to other stores or training. Other duties may be fairly assigned.

ABILITIES: Must possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively interact with other teammates and guests always maintaining a teamwork attitude. Work in teamwork setting, must be completely confidential, positive and welcoming disposition both in person, on phone and electronic communications, maintains positive outlook and disposition at all times, effective listening and verbal communications skills. Must have ability to multi-task, possess excellent communication skills both in person and electronically, maintain composure in stressful situations, good time management skills, and good organizational skills, be honest, confidential, trustworthy, and respectful; be flexible, and demonstrate strong work ethic.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time while working; must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting (up to 50 lbs unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. The Manager must have a keen eye for service, cleanliness, urgency awareness, and the needs of a guest. May have to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the need and requests of guests. The Manager may find the environment to be busy, noisy, distracting, and will need to apply excellent organizational, time management and stress management skills to complete required tasks on a daily basis and follow task and checklists assigned. Must be able to complete and pass any required pre-employment testing or abilities assessments.

  • Must obtain ServSafe Certification and re-certify as required.
  • Must obtain A/B Operator Certification and re-certify as required.
  • Use good judgment and sensitivity in all situations.
  • Responsible for the team and all store operations.
  • Enforce all rules, policies, and procedures uniformly, fairly, and in a timely manner; including coaching and disciplinary action as needed and sending appropriate documentation regarding discipline and termination to the payroll department.
  • Responsible for team evaluations.
  • Responsible for weekly manager meetings (minimum) and one store meeting per month required. Inform teammates of information received at retail managers meeting. Open communication with all team and leadership.
  • Managers are required to work minimum 45 hours per week following assigned schedule including every other weekend to meet the needs of the guest.
  • Responsible for cleanliness, friendliness, safety, consistency, and speed of service of the store.
  • Ensure entire team is in proper attire.
  • Responsible for store inventory.
  • Responsible for posting all communications pertaining to the store.
  • Comply with expectations of required inventories and full paperwork procedures in a timely manner.
  • Always complete an evaluation sheet and return to payroll department.
  • Take pride in and uphold the company culture at all times and at all locations.
  • Promote and have fun in your work.
